Adjust Your Tracking is a limited edition 'left field' LP from the chaotic mind of UK producer, DJ, turntable musician, cassette looper and artist, RIVAL SELF.

RIVAL SELF has been held in highest regard in Hip Hop circles since the mid 90s. Last October saw the anticipated and long sold out release of his self titled debut LP - a meticulously detailed field trip through an immersive soundscape for art loving crate diggers.

Now, one year on, he's back, and just in time for Halloween, with this Video Nasty inspired album.

Self confessed VHS buff RIVAL SELF's parents owned a video rental store during the 80s where he was exposed to titles that would later be banned and confiscated by the authorities. Some of those titles appear in this magnificently macabre 50-minute recording full of layered soundtracks, movie clips, interviews and trailer soundbites, over dark, heavy beats, scratched and cut up with a mad scientist's precision.

The Digipak CDs comes with a mini-poster designed and illustrated by RIVAL SELF, and a reproduced authentic sticker from the heyday of video rental inserted into an inner pocket.

"Hi Friends,

Consider this an intermission. An admittedly incongruous side project...

This album was made very quickly. As were the majority of the movies it samples.

Initially this project was nearly two hours long due to the amount of films I wanted to include.

At time the sound quality isn't perfect and I've consciously made the choice not to remedy that too much.

The bulk of the source material I worked with comes from the original video tapes and radio spots that are nearly as old as I am.”
